In December 2019, Massey University’s current Certificate of Intensive English programme will cease to run. In January 2020, our new English Language Proficiency short courses, which are designed to better meet the needs of students, will commence.

Students who are currently enrolled in Massey’s Certificate of Intensive English programme will be transitioned into the appropriate level of the new English Language Proficiency short courses at either our Auckland or Palmerston North campuses.

Applications for enrolment in the new English Language Proficiency short courses opened on 1 October 2019 and the first intake starts on 13 January 2020. New intakes will start every five weeks. The cost for each five-week course is NZ$2150, plus non-tuition fees.

There are stair-casing opportunities to other qualifications at levels 3B (DEEP) and 4B (AdvDEEP), as well as a seamless pathway through pre-degree to degree entry at Massey University.

All of Massey University’s English Language Proficiency short courses are fully integrated into the wider university, meaning students have full access to all of Massey’s student facilities and support services.
